Bills Must Be Paid Achievements: All 27 Explained
The full table with unlock rates, the three traps, and a practical completion order.
Quick answer
All 27 achievements: a 3-5 hour one-sitting 100% — nothing is permanently missable
Bills Must Be Paid ships with 27 Steam achievements, all completable in a single sitting of roughly 3-5 hours (COMMUNITY: one-hit-kill.space guide, frozen 2026-08-11). The natural arc plus three deliberate systems covers everything: the gambling trio (50/50, All or Nothing, Eyes on the Piggy), the loan pair (Take a Loan / Pay Back a Loan), and the completion trio (Bought It All, Prestige Jewelry, Maxed Out). The rarest is Maxed Out at ~26.9%, and it has a trap: beat the final boss first and you must keep playing the same cycle to finish the tree, because bankruptcy resets it. Source note: completion time, unlock rates and the "missable" claim are community observations from the frozen guide set — no permanent missables were found there, but the game has not been re-verified against a fresh official list.

The three traps
Maxed Out, Eyes on the Piggy, and the precision pair
Maxed Out (26.9%) — don't reset after the boss. Beat the final boss with an incomplete tree and it looks locked out. It isn't: the developer confirmed in a forum reply that you keep playing the same cycle to finish the tree — bankruptcy is what resets it.
Eyes on the Piggy (48.3%) — film it. The community cheese is to record the Piggy Shuffle in slow motion and read where the marked piggy lands.
Not a Single Miss / Twice as Precise (100%). Do these early with the slow starting Hammer — once attack speed rises, clean runs get much harder.
Recommended order
A practical completion order
- Precision pair + Rookie/Serial Smasher (first runs, slow Hammer).
- Bill milestones (Bills Must Be Paid → One Step at a Time → Making Progress → Keeping Up → Freedom).
- Gambling trio early (50/50, All or Nothing, Eyes on the Piggy) while stakes are small.
- Loan pair (Take a Loan, Pay Back a Loan) — repay fast, the daily cut is pure tax.
- Money milestones ($100 / $1,000 / $10,000 / $1,000,000 owned).
- Completion trio last (Bought It All, Prestige Jewelry, Maxed Out) — then the final bankruptcy.
FAQ
Achievements FAQ
Q: Can I miss any achievement permanently?
A: No — the game is cycle-based and every system stays available. The two soft traps are Maxed Out (don't bankrupt after the final boss) and Eyes on the Piggy (cheese with a slow-motion recording).
Q: Is Super Jackpot pure luck?
A: Yes — it is the only pure-luck gate, and you can retry it indefinitely.
Q: Do I need a second playthrough?
A: No — the full set is a 3-5 hour, one-sitting 100%.
